that's all I would get
no text, no call strictly internet

you sent a poke to my page
like I'm some random chick
with a real cheesy shot
of your latest profile pic

how hard is the effort
to show that you're pursuing
to send me a note
ask me how I am doing

this poke thing is for you
some easy way for connection
cause there's no need to fear
the impending rejection

but I need you to know
and just hope you will see
that a poke and smile
could never interest me
